In 1998 the Goose Defenders developed an intensive campaign against
The City of Mississauga's request to cull hundreds of Canada Geese. Claiming to have used every possible method of removing the 'nuisance' birds, their request was turned down. Instead, The City opted for relocation. The poorly planned relocation resulted in several geese dying during transit in inhumane conditions and others with uncertain futures. You can become involved by protesting future attempts for culls through letters, meetings and petitions. Force The City to try other acceptable alternatives for the humane removal of the Canada Geese. |
